High phosphate levels can damage corals, especially delicate ones like SPS. Fauna Marin Phos 0.04 works to remove these phosphates and yellow substances from the water in reef aquariums to keep corals safe. PHOS 0.04 comes in a granule form and is considered safe to use since the PO4 value can not fall below 0.04 ppm. The unwanted yellow color and phosphates tightly bind to Phos 0.04 and will not re-release back into the water, keeping levels very low.
